Sharesight product updates – May 2026

by Milly Brent, Business Analyst at Sharesight | May 20th 2026

This month we launched an AI-powered trade file importer (Beta), added a bulk spreadsheet upload option for cash account transactions, improved visibility of exemptions in the new (Beta) Australian CGT report, streamlined sign up and plan selection, and expanded support for Irish and Luxembourg funds to include virtual share classes.

Our new AI-powered trade file importer (currently available to Beta users) extracts and imports trade data from any file, regardless of format, broker or source. You can find it under "+Add investment" → "Upload via file", and you'll still get to review and amend the data before finalising the import. We continue to recommend our custom-built and tested file and trade confirmation importers for the 260+ supported brokers where available, but the AI option gives you a fast way to bring in trade data from anywhere else without manually reformatting it. If you prefer to avoid AI don’t fret — all existing import methods remain supported, and AI features can be switched off entirely in account preferences.

We've also added a long-requested bulk import for cash account transactions via spreadsheet, with two formatting options to cover the variety of broker and bank export formats. Find it under the cash account screen via "+Add transaction" → "Upload via spreadsheet".
